Lithium Ion Battery (Li-Ion)

According to reports, Lithium Ion Battery is gaining real traction in the market and will remain dominant into the next decade. Several companies, including SANYO, Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic etc. have invested heavily in this technology. Lithium Ion Battery today, primarily use graphite or silicon anodes and a liquid electrolyte. It can be charged number of times and can still maintain its efficiency. This battery can perform in different temperatures.

Lithium Ion Battery is a type of rechargeable battery that contains lithium ions. They move from the negative electrodes to the positive electrode during discharge and back while charging it. This battery is common in-home electronics with a high energy density, tiny memory effect and low self-discharge.

Lithium Ion Battery is much lighter than other types of rechargeable batteries of the same size. It is mainly built to handle hundreds of charge/discharge cycles. It provides different capacity battery cells including  2000mAh, 2200mAh, 2400mAh, 2600mAh, 2800mAh.

Lithium Ion Battery is used in :-
  • Devices such as mobile phones and notebook computers
  • Consumer electronics
  • LED, telecoms devices, motor and power house
  • Torch Light, Flash light, Military Tactical Light, Searching Light
  • Power Banks ,Telecom, UPS, Solar, E-Vehicles, E-Rickshaws, E Buses
  • Automation, Security, Medical, Defence, LED & Lighting
  • Lifting, powering or handling goods or materials
  • Electric vehicle military and aerospace applications
  • Electric vehicles (EV), electricity storage systems, backup base stations

Lithium Ion Battery has many advantages as given below:-
  • Greater energy density
  • No requirement for priming
  • Light in weight
  • Environmental friendly
  • Long self discharge rate
  • Long  self life
  • Low maintenance
  • Unsurpassed safety
