Things you know about Induction Motor

Induction motor is used most commonly in electronic devices. In Induction motor the rotor rotates on the principle of Electromagnetic induction.
Working Principle:

Symbolic representation of Induction Motor
When we are giving supply to the stator winding , flux will generate in the coil due to the flow of current in the coil. The flux from the stator will cut the coil in the rotor and since the rotor coil are short circuited, according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction , current will start flowing in the coil of the rotor. When current will flow another flux will get generated in the rotor. Now there will be two flux & one is stator & another is rotor flux due to rotor flux, rotor will feel a torque which will make the rotor to rotate in the direction of rotating magnetic flux.

Applications
Induction motors unit is used in  approximately in 85 % of the industrial applications, due to their high quality.
Recently in electric vehicles field their is a lot of analysis. Induction Motor are not so common in city, as in their application has permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) for better efficiency. It can be Used in: Fans, blowers, escalators, refrigerator, high speed trains, Electric Vehicles etc. Because of the simplicity of use, rugged nature and efficiency is what making it to carry more workload.
Types
There are basically two types of induction motor &  that depend upon the input supply - single phase induction motor and three phase induction motor. Single phase induction motor is not a self starting motor and whereas three phase induction motor is a self-starting motor.
Single phase motors have various starting arrangements. Capacitor start motors are probably the most common. There are also permanent split capacitor motors, shaded pole motors and others.
By far, the most common type of three phase motor is the squirrel cage  motor, but there are also wound rotor motors (also called slipring  motors). Squirrel cage motors have different torque & speed design types.

AC Motor- Description and Types

Motor that changes over the alternating current into mechanical power by utilizing an electromagnetic enlistment marvel is called an AC motor. This engine is driven by an exchanging current. The stator and the rotor are the two most vital parts of the AC motor. The stator is the stationary piece of the engine, and the rotor is the turning some portion of the motor. Ac motor might be single phase and three phase.

Three phase AC motors part connected to the industry for mass power transformation from electrical to mechanical. For little power change, the single phase Ac motors are utilized. Single phase AC motor is about little in size, and it gives an assortment of administrations in the home, office, business concerns, manufacturing plants, and so on. All the residential apparatuses, for example, fridges, fans, clothes washer, hair dryers, blenders etc. Are utilize single phase AC motor.
There are two basic types of Ac motors:-
Induction Motors & Asynchronous Motor:- In Induction motor main part is rotating the magnetic field. The most widely recognized wellspring of this in air conditioning motor  is the squirrel confine design. There is basically two rings, one at each finish of the motor, with bars of aluminium or copper interfacing the two closures. AC induction motor  have properties that make them particularly appropriate to various mechanical and additionally home machine applications.
First of all, they are basic and rough engines that are easy keep up. They are keep running at steady speed over an extensive variety of load settings, from zero to full-stack. The main disadvantage is that induction motor they are not agreeable to speed control. Three phase induction motor, would now be able to be speed controlled also.

Synchronous Motor:-  Synchronous motors are work synchronously whatever the recurrence source of there, that’s why they are named it synchronous motor. The engine speed is settled and doesn't change with changes to the heap or voltage. These engines are fundamentally utilized where the necessity is exact and consistent speed. Most synchronous motors are utilized in substantial mechanical applications, with horsepower evaluations running from the low hundreds up to a thousands horsepower.
Synchronous motor can be utilized in movement control applications, however there are some drawbacks to utilizing these motors. As a result of the rotor estimate, the engine's reaction in increasing applications is normally not great. Likewise, on the grounds that increasing speed of inertial burdens may not be as high as other engine composes, these engines may work at unpredictable speeds and deliver bothersome clamour. Synchronous motors are bigger and more expensive than different engines with a similar drive rating.
