All About Water Cooled Cable

Water Cooled Cables are copper wires that have flexible power connection between furnace panels to crucibles. And therefore, used for induction furnace purpose. However, these cables are also used in automobile industries.Water Cooled Cables are made from copper ropes and a very high quality rubber hose with a special heat resistant covering for protection. These cables are available in designs and specifications as per customer’s requirement.

Specifications:-

Water Cooled Cable come in diameter varying from 19mm to 135 mm and have golden and silver color. Some cables are armored while some are non-armored and have 6 ampere to 6000 ampere of power/ voltage.

Their covers are of different patterns including wear, splash or thermal sleeves. These cables come in weights ranging from 5 kg to 30 ton induction furnaces.

Such cables have stainless steel heavy duty hose clamp at hose end, hydrostested cable and end connection of lead free brass, this gives long last. Moreover, they have good quality of carbon free rubber hose. Additionally, they are coated with silver for optimum contact and electrical conductivity.

What makes Water Cooled Cables highly performed?
  • Good electrical efficiency
  • Rugged hose
  • Durable hose
Helixed Pattern of the Cooled Cables:-

The cable is helixed around a spiral center to maintain maximum and consistent water flow for flange-type cables and the newer designs incorporating internal core springs or hoses.

Applications:-

Water Cooled Cables are designed according to the capacity of the furnaces and are used in all types of furnaces including electric arc furnace, induction furnace, vacuum furnace, plasma and graphitizing furnaces and for manufacturing welding machines and found in metal industry.
