Conical Mixer

Description :- Conical mixers, are also called as the Nauta mixer, it is used in many industries because of their outstanding mixing quality and accuracy, These mixers are ideal to process a broad spectrum of powders, grains and pastes. Conical mixers are energy efficient and required low maintenance compare to other mixers. Moreover conical mixers are very reliable and helpful for uniform mixing of granular and powdery materials within a short span of time. They are widely used in construction and cement industries along with chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Conical mixers offer efficient functioning and ease of operation , outstanding performance and a long functional life.

Applications:

•  Moistening of powders
•  Coating
•  Granulation  
•  Drying by means of heat input at atmospheric conditions or in combination with vacuum and possible liquid recovery
• Coating of solids with liquids (with intensifier)

Models of Conical Mixer: The conical mixer has three basic models: According to N.M. Heilig B.V
1) TYPE PL (PINTLE BEARING)

In this type, the screw is reinforced at the bottom with a ball bearing or pintle.Also,these pintle bearings are beneficial or effective mixers with huge capacities up to 75,000 litres

2) TYPE VD (FREE BEARING)

This type of conical mixer the mixing material can be supplied with the capacity from 10 to 15,000 litres and is characterised by the absence of a bearing at the bottom of the mixing screw.

Among the major advantages of this are:
- It does Not produce any residue after discharging dry, free-flowing products, because the mixer is fitted with an outlet at the bottom.
- No heat generation in the product is caused because of the absence of a bottom bearing.

3) TYPE VD2
This type VD2 mixer follows the principle of type VD, it is made with 2 mixing screws and that can be supplied in sizes from 300 litres. It has advantage over other model that it include extremely brief mixing time and required limited construction height with respect to the single screw model. It has a combination of a lid provided with the rounded edge and an enlarged base, with the result that there is space for installing a large inspection hatch,and this makes the machine easier to clean.
